Le Petit Chef - Minneapolis

It was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived, there was a gentleman who offered to take and check are coats,which was wondeful! I didn't know anyone still offered that service, so it was a pleasant surprise. The hostess/narrator was awesome she kept us moving at a great pace with the entrée and storytelling. EVERY Entrée from start to dessert was amazing. The salad was my favorite. I loved the experience it was perfect.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and entertainment across the 5 meals with my significant other and a pair of friends that were also together. The only real gripe was the inability to eat at a cooked preference and how salty most dishes ended up being but if you’re there looking for a great dinner date between just you and your partner then I would 100% recommend the dinner. I would not recommend children but they are very welcomed to environment so if you can’t find a suitable babysitter then they would definitely be entertained for the evening. My honest rating would be 3.5 to 4/5 stars overall but don’t feel discouraged to try something new and fun for you and your partner.

The venue was nice, food was tasty, wait staff were great, and the video projections were fun to watch, but after the few minutes of video before each dish, there wasn’t a whole lot going on. The music should have been turned off while the wait staff were explaining the upcoming dishes as it was hard to hear. Overall a little expensive for what was offered.

Le Petit Chef was… underwhelming. The staff was fine, but nothing about the experience felt exceptional — especially at over $250 per person. The projection element was cute, but far less magical than social media makes it look. The food was the biggest letdown. It was bland overall, and the salad was honestly the highlight. For a “luxury” experience, that’s disappointing. The pricing also felt misleading. It appears you’re paying around $298 for two people after the deposit, but we ended up at a total of $500+ after three mediocre $17 drinks, a truly awful fountain Diet Pepsi, and a service fee that wasn’t clearly disclosed in any emails, and then a gratuity that was unclear and then they still ask for a tip which we did tip on because we’re not assholes. For our anniversary, my wife and I enjoyed the dinner and show very much. The food was excellent, well prepared and delicious. I ate everything - wanting to savor the cuisine completely. The service was excellent and the show was very entertaining. My wife was thrilled with it being a delightful surprise and she was talking about our evening there for days afterward.
