The big getaway draw to this area is dinner at the Los Pinos Winery and after that who would rather stay the night instead of go home? I would. This place is what boutique hotels are like the ones I visit in Dallas but has a sense of escape to it. After you get to the sign for The Lavender Mermaid and go over railroad tracks you've now crossed a line into pine trees and a dirt trail made of worn tire tracks with grass down the middle. The trail winds around and opens up to a wide view of a 2 story house with cottages off to the left. We were so so excited that we forgot the check-in process. Parking was easy, the concrete sidewalks lead you to your own personalized cabin. You have an assigned key to an assigned cabin with an assigned door depending on what you booked...ours was purple. Each time we leave Lavender Mermaid Farm B&B, we are excited to plan our next stay. Michelle has such warm hospitality and she adds sweet personal touches in the cottages to ensure we have a relaxing stay. Over the years, we have stayed in the Lavender Cottage, Hibiscus Cottage, and Sunflower cottage. The cottages are always clean and cozy, and the breakfast is amazing! Everything is homemade and has a personal touch. We always pair our stay with a trip to Los Pinos Winery. You won't regret it!

This is a BEAUTIFUL and relaxing place to be. The cottages are cozy, the bed and pillows are very comfortable and the amenities are are great. It was also nice to have lavender truffles left at the bedside. Breakfast is amazing starting with the homemade fritatta,fruit cup with fresh fruit and homemade yogurt and amazing homemade blueberry scones with fresh preserves. The host is very accommodating and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is a positive one. I would definitely recommend The Lavender Mermaid to everyone. I can’t wait to stay here again. P.S. Don’t forget to order extra truffles to take home with you. 😋

The only thing that smells better than the refreshing evergreens at Lavender Mermaid are the delicious, fresh-baked scones, which are among the fantastic breakfast items that arrive to your door in the cutest cooler you've ever seen, along with quiches and homemade granola fruit parfaits, fresh juice, and other surprises. Every aspect of your stay is well thought-out here, from plush robes and a full-size hair dryer in the bathrooms to everything you might need in the kitchen for a weekend of relaxed fun. I almost don’t want to leave a review so we can selfishly keep this place to ourselves. What a magical and wonderful weekend! Every detail that could have been thought of on this trip was taken care of. The big and the little. Michelle is obviously an expert at her craft and we were honored to be her guests! If you don’t come for anything, come for the food! The breakfast was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life, the picnic was carefully tailored and delicious, and those chocolate Lavender truffles are to die for! Some other notable parts to the weekend were the very cute downtown in Pittsburg, the Mid America Flight Museum, and Los Pinos Winery. If you’re looking for the perfect, quiet, relaxing, chill weekend….Lavender Mermaid is the place to be!
