Lark Motel

I'm not sure if they reserve the good rooms for dignitaries or something, but for those that go here expecting a deal for the $55 dollars they put in to stay a night are going to be sorely disappointed. ||||We chose the hotel based on its location, and their price. It didn't turn out well.||||We arrived early in the afternoon and immediately ran into trouble. The owner met us and tried to nickle and dime us to upgrade our room, even asking for more money for a second key. I doubt that paying more would have gotten us a better room, the other people in the room next to us didn't have a much better time. ||||To list a few of the Cons. Positive: Very clean, simple room. Comfortable bed. Only 3 minutes from Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits. Very convenient. Very helpful front desk. I had last minute changes and they made it easy. Quiet, even though on Hwy 20. Door front parking. Negative: No.

We came up from Marin Cointy for an overnight, to ride the Christmas Skunk Train. This place was perfect for our needs. It’s located about 1.5 miles from the town center where the train station is, but within walking distance of several food options. The exterior is clean and well maintained. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and hot shower. The heater worked well and it had amenities that you don’t always find at this price point, including toiletries, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It was very budget-friendly, as well as pet-friendly which is why I chose this place as we had our dog with us. Overall, couldn’t ask for more in a basic overnight accommodation.

Perfect late night check in for me and my campervan and my dog. I absolutely never want to drive the pch 1 (pacific coast highway) through Kings Range forest at night. The price was right and the layout is perfect. I got a key at 8pm, parked my campervan directly in front of our room and had a bed, tv, fridge, microwave and a huge bathroom with a hot shower all to myself. The whole place is maintained well and up to date, i felt safe and it was easy see all around, walk my dog, and get back on the road after getting clean and organized the next morning.

Found myself in Willits for a pre construction site visit early the next morning. Since Willits is a good distance from either Oakland or Sacramento Airports, I came in the day before. Stayed here as a reasonably priced motel for an overnight. Quiet, clean, instant hot water, asked for additional pillows and was accomidated without question. I'll stay here again.
