Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center

1-13,14,15-2026 Greetings! We stayed in the Kota Tupa (cottage) and were very satisfied. The cottage was very clean and roomy. The best surprise was the wood stove, very nice to come in from the cold and light a fire. The trails (east side for us green trail people) were nicely groomed and perfect for our ability right at our door. The snow shoe trails are very beautiful and had many streams with log crossing to add to the experience. This was our first trip but will soon become our annual must do get away. The people were very friendly and made us feel like family.

Let's start out by saying I've never skiied Nordic. A complete rank beginner. But I've lived close by for several years, and wanted to learn. Best decision I've made, and Lapland is making such a positive difference! Everyone is very friendly and helpful! They're excited for me to try something new, and are always available to answer questions, or help in any way. The ski instructors are wonderful, and after one session I was safely able to go out on my own and practice what I was taught on some of their many well groomed, well marked, trails. The main lodge is warm and inviting, with a fire burning to warm up. Its nice just to sit for a while and talk to the other guests. Food and drinks are available, with ample seating. We skied on 2/24. Bluebird skies, snow frosting on the trees, and impeccably maintained and groomed trails. What fun!

Excellent skiing and accommodations. Trails are well groomed for classic and skate skiing. Beautiful mountains and pine forests. We've been going for decades and it keeps getting better. Lodging is very comfortable and well equipped. We bring a cooler with food for the week and usually go into town once or twice when we don't feel like cooking. Kathy, Paul and the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Thanks to them for a wonderful week at Lapland this January !!!

Get away, Unplug, and relax! Lapland is such a beautiful spot. No wonder people keep coming back year after year. My husband's family has been coming here for decades and we started bringing our children. Summer time fun doesn't get any better than this. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, wood stove sauna, campfires, critter catching, it's all here. The staff is so welcoming. Our kids are hooked. We will definitely try out a winter stay sometime too.
