Great Gatsby Motel Inn - Northville Hotel Great Sacandaga Lake Adirondack

We stayed two days at the Great Gatsby Motel Inn. rooms are very clean. it was very comfortable. especially the bed was very comfortable. We met Erkan and Zeynep, the owners of the hotel, and we met Oktay the manager who helped them, all very friendly. There are two nice bars around one is sports island pub others one Vic’s bar. There was a live music. The motel located at across the lake. They have a a private beach access and lake was amazing to swim. it was very clean and beautiful. We will definitely come again. Highly recommended!

It was a perfect experience! 🌲🏞️ Sipping your coffee in the morning with a lake view is incredibly peaceful. The seating areas in front of the motel are wonderfully designed for spending time by the lake, especially the red chairs and tables which add a vibrant touch to the scenery. Located right in the heart of nature in the Adirondack region. You get both tranquility and the refreshing atmosphere of the lake together. In the afternoons, the sunlight reflecting through the trees onto the lake creates a breathtaking view. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to relax by the lake and enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks. 🌅✨ “The photos say it all – the perfect harmony of peace and nature!”

I stayed at Great Gatsby Motel Inn for one night on 8/31/25. The location was great and room condition was acceptable. Unfortunately, there were no bath towels in the room when I arrived. The motel is not supported by a live person. I called and texted the support number twice each. My calls went right into voice mail and were not returned. I did receive 1 text message response but the 2 bath towels were never delivered before I checked out on 9/1/25 at 8am. I was hiking the Northville Placid trail from the motel and it was challenging to start the hike without a towel for my shower. I've tried to reach the motel management after returning home requesting a modest credit the inconvenience they caused during my stay but I have not received any response.

Booked through booking and it seemed decent. Should have consulted recent Google reviews before committing ourselves. Where to begin?? 1. The “streamlined convenient check-in process” is anything but. You have to call a number for a code. A poor cell connection required repeating the numbers. 2. One small bath towel. No hand towels. No wash clothes. Dirty bath mat. 3. Dirty sheets. We were convinced the sheets were not cleaned. Dirty pillows. 3. No coffee, though there was a coffee machine. No hot beverage cups. 4. The TV required unplugging a few times to get the audio to work. 5. The floors needed vacuuming. 6. A sign indicating “as a gesture of hospitality” the following items were available for purchase, I’m not kidding…bath towel 25$….pillows $25…used coffee maker $50….and a non-exi

I needed a place to stop overnight on a long road trip. I found this Motel online and thought it looked interesting. The room was decent and the bed was comfortable. Not everything had been cleaned when I had arrived. For example, the coffee maker hadn’t been cleaned after a prior stay and there were moldy coffee grounds in the machine. I also had to call the number on the office door to get a code to check in. It honestly wasn’t a big deal, but I was surprised that no one was at the front desk. I love the way they’ve renovated this old motel. If you’re in the area, it’s a great place to stay. A bit more attention to housekeeping would make this a 5 star experience rather than the 4 I gave it.
