Lakeland Lodges

Curiously quaint place, a bit like going back to 1965. . But clean, shower decent, tiny beach nice. And friendly people with a nice dog. Flowers very pretty outside of cottages. owner wonderfully helpful when I left my favorite hat behind. and I had a great swim in Lake Erie with. An amazing sunset viewed from their quiet private beach.

I stayed here on a cross-country trip while visiting the village of Mitiwanga, where my favorite aunt had spent time as a girl. (Her photos from 1926 show a place little different from today.) Lakeland was close by, so I booked a room for convenience. It turned out to be a destination itself -- a clean, simple little cabin on a green shared with other cabins, all looking out on Lake Erie. Lots of outdoor tables and chairs for admiring the view. Dick, the host, was charming and knowledgeable about the area. He helpfully provided a restaurant recommendation, which turned out to be spectacular. Definitely worth a stay!

If you are looking for a reasonable place to stay near Lake Erie, this place is great!! The owners treat you like family and acknowledge you by name when they see you. The beach is fabulous and private! I had all of my children here and I was able to set them free on the beach without any worries. They get up here each morning and clean the grounds, wipe down every flower planter and landscaping. The housekeeping came by first thing and exchanged dirty towels and rags for new ones without a request. I would love coming back to this place and recommend them to anyone compared to any of the places we looked at within a mile of here.

My family stayed at Lakeland Lodges for an overnight on an extended road trip. The owners were incredibly personable, flexible and welcoming and our small cabin was quaint and rustic, but also clean and complete with all of the basics (including a small coffee maker, mini-fridge, hairdryer, and shampoo). We a great time playing on the private beach and enjoying the community lawn and spent several hours sitting at the tables outside of our small cottage. We also had a fabulous time wandering around Vermilion. This is a great stop if you are just passing through or want to stay for a few days with some close friends or family. We'll definitely return the next time we come through town!

Very nice owner along with his wife. Exactly what we were looking for. Cottage was so cute and the A/C was great as well. Nice water pressure and clean beds. Definitely would stay again. And the private beach with firepit and charcoal grille was amazing with the sunset!
