Lake Shore Motel

The lady who runs the front desk was very rude to me. Told me that she would not rent to me and my wife and kids because she did not want a bunch of rude a$$ n!@@&#'s in her rooms. I tried to deescalate the situation by telling her that we would not be loud or disturb other guess, but she threatened to call the cops on me for disturbing her peace and when I asked her why she would do that she told me It's because she hates black people. The owners really need to do something about this. The motel looked very nice from the outside, but as soon as you walk into the office there are at least 3 cats that I could see and the smell was so bad that when I got back into my car my wife and kids could still smell it on me. Someone really needs to check on this because it was not professional at all.

The rooms are real clean. The service at the front desk at late night is amazing,||I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Wanda.||I want to say Thank you for my last minute reservation.||The weather made our stay even better. The comforters are very clean. I was told they are washed after every use. And that means a lot when you just want to lay on the bed.||I do love how close they are to everything. Lots of store and I do Mexican food. They are even close by. I Thank you for my stay and I will return

We were really comfortable during our stay. Rooms are big and clean, and housekeeping as well as maintenance staff great, personable and very friendly. Microwaves are located in a patio outside. Located near a pretty pond full of hungry turtles and feeding them was a lot of fun. Free coffee in the office . There is a fairly small pool which seemed to be popular, we did not use it. You can also sunbathe by the pond. The place is near the beach, shopping and restaurants. The best part however was the family-run business style which feels very welcoming to you as a guest!!

We try to stay here anytime that we are in the area. The owners are super nice. The rooms are large, very clean & comfy, We love staying at the Lake Shore Motel more than the larger well known brands. We tell all of our friends traveling from Raleigh NC to the Casino Boat & surrounding areas about the Lake Shore Motel. They are GREAT and always look out for us if we tell them we are going to be in the area!!!! Just plain good people

Rooms 107, 108, and 104.has roaches. Mentioned it to the owner, she acted like she did not care. Asked her to get some spray she never did. She even went and rented out 107 after moving out and still never sprayed. Office stinks, allows a cat to walk on the desk. Cat food and water on the desk. This is the desk you sign your paper work on. The owner has really allowed this place to go down . Rooms smell like smoke and animals.Houss keeper barley cleans rooms . Nasty stuff all behind toilets, fridge dirty, drawers have bugs in them. It's a shame because the husband and wife who use to own it several years ago did an excellent job keeping the place neat and clean.
