Lake Sherwood Recreation Area

Simply the best. Very quiet and always clean facilities. Each campground has a bath and shower house that is private and clean. Has a great beach at the lake, plenty of well marked trails and the roads are great in and out. Easy backing into spots. Has a nice couple of playgrounds and a good bath house with rinse off showers at the beach. Boat rentals, fishing, bring your own boat etc… no motors of course. Been here dozens of times over 40 years and always consistent. No cell service at all but hey that is great if you are wanting to get away.

Absolutely amazing experience! We stayed two nights and had a great time. We did not have a reservation but we're lucky to get a couple fcfs sites right on the lake. The lake was beautiful to kayak in and fish. They have kayak rentals, and a little shop with ice and some basic grocery needs. They also have a great beach area for the kids to play with bathrooms and rinse shower stations. Campground was very clean and quiet, bath house was very clean and water stations were spaced closest between every couple sites. We saw deer and wild rabbits during our stay. There are a few hiking trails that circle the lake also. Much to do here! We will definitely be back to enjoy this park again.

If you truly want to disconnect, this place to go. Beautiful lake and surroundings. You can rent kayak/paddle boats, etc, from the boat house. Heather and her husband, who runs it, is amazing and kind and helpful. The facilities in th camp ground are well maintained and clean.

My parents started taking me here as far back as I can remember. Over the years it has been our go to place for a fun family camping experience. Now I have a child of my own and am continuing a tradition. I love Lake Sherwood! Perfect for that must have family time.

We were very lucky to get to camp here on Saturday of labor day weekend. It was one of the best weekends we've had in a long time. Getting out on the water is a must. Anna May that works at the Kayak rental shop is very kinda and helpful. We hope to see her again next year. The pictures will explain the rest.
