Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground

This is our first year here and we are so lucky we chose this location. We searched for months and everywhere we looked had no amenities, nothing for the kids. This place is packed. Zipline, arcade, two swimming pools, splash pad, fishing. Mini golf, bounce pad. Even the bathrooms are stunning! The owner really flipped this place after buying it and it shows! Thanks Mike and Cheryl! Happy to be part of Lake Mocatek!

Our friends have a seasonal RV site and invited us to try this campground. We usually stay at the state parks. They are usually are smaller sites. Check in was quick and easy. Having two large tents, Our site was very large with lots of room. A small slope was perfect for rain the run away from our site. There is room to back our vehicle almost to our site which made it easy to unpack and pack up. Most tent sites have picnic tables and fire pits. Our dogs loves being able to roam around on a lead rope. Dump stations so we can empty our portable toilet. They also have hot showers and flushable toilets near tent site. Water nearby and power at every other site so we could power our small refrigerator. We would definitely stay here again!

Extremely disappointed with this campground. The owner was rude and made us feel completely unwelcome from the moment we arrived. The property itself is rundown and poorly maintained, with broken amenities and a generally dilapidated feel. On top of that, the lake it sits next to smells terrible and adds to the overall unpleasant experience. Definitely would not recommend.

Overall pleasant experience, you have a feeling of camping with a concierge service, staff is friendly and you always have someone to help at the office, since this is not a state park you may have a feeling of more freedom and security. There are few minor things i pointed out below most of campers wont see as a problem. You are on a private farm. We experienced some maintenance and construction activities on weekend, i was told this was a one time deal. Need to be more considerate. Some rental boat ore locks are broken but there are plenty that are not, just need to be fixed. One pick nick table is rotten and needs to be replaced. This is a very family friendly camp ground. They have maintained it clean and nice. We rented a cabin and it was clean and comfortable with lake view. You can rent a boat for $12 and fish all day long. The lake has some great fish to catch. Overall a great experience and will return again!
