Lake George Campsite

Stayed here with family for a weekend! I have to say dspite any reviews we have read, This is by far one my favorite places to camp! So country- no obligation to join in on anything as they are not structured! Down home family camping. The office bar is super fresh, clean and smells like pine wood. I love that smell! The new bathhouse is gorgeous! New tile ceiling to floor showers, Ada compliant toilets, hottest water at a campground I have ever felt! The owners are middle aged and are the only workers so they are super busy trying to keep everyone happy! The lady is the bartender and the one night we went in to the bar we listened to music and she sang a song and blew us away. Very friendly and out going. Came into town to visit family, and instead of staying at a hotel we decided to pull our camper and stay here. What a great decision that was! The campground is clean, quiet and the roads are in great shape. The owners are awesome. Very nice and very accommodating. We will definitely come back to stay here again next time we are visiting family!

We were in a great spot lake front. There's a pathway up to the bar, but it's a Dooley at night in the dark AFTER the bar! A string or 2 of lights in the trees would be fun! The owners? we great, they had a lightning strike they were recuperating from. Our camper had no ground and he came right away to fix it. The bar was full and fun. The fishing pier was great. We would return!

While being on vacation in the northwoods I spent a few days there when the season 2023 was ending. The campground provides sites close to the lake or embedded in the woods, whatever you prefer. Best decision I could make: Carmen + Jesse with family are putting their heart and soul into this place which combines the bar + the campground, the hospitality is outstanding! Season ended with the famous "drink the bar dry"-event which allowed me to spent an amazing evening with great people, nice conversations, tons of fun, delicious drinks + food and a massive campfire... anything the heart desires!
