Lake Cisco Campground

Nice day use area. The hiking trails were fun and the old zoo was cool. There were several rock formations to crawl on and around, or the main trail was flat and wide. Finding the medallions is a nice touch. Its not too big, no chance of getting lost. The bathrooms were clean.

An unexpected getaway with a great view of the night sky and quirky, hidden nooks from the remnants of yesteryear. Tourists of the roaring 20's came here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities to partake in swimming, nature, and a dose of exotic animals. If you find charm in exploring a bit of history and getting away from technology, this just might be the camping spot for you.

Really neat place. The abandoned zoo and the old damn were really cool to hike thru. The campground was exactly as we anticipated and we loved the privacy and seclusion. One thing: trim the trees. We were in a Class A motorhome and some of the branches were a little too low.

My family and I camped here over spring break for a few days with our Travel Trailer. Wonderful campgrounds. Is it a luxury campgrounds, no its not. However the host/owners are amazing, its quiet and there is plenty of room to relax and hang out. Which is what my family looks for when we camp. It is right on top of the Old Zoo, which was how we found this place. It is also a small walk to the Dam and the lake. We will be back again and we will stay longer.
