La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oceanfront Daytona Beach

Worst La Quinta we have ever stayed at and we are Wyndham Rewards Members so we have stayed at LQs all over the country! Stayed one night with our 2 dogs. They charged my credit card 3 charges. 1 charge for the room. A $25 charge for the pet fee and an additional $100 deposit as a third transaction. They only refunded $75 days later. I called and they stated they charge $25 per dog per night and I owed them since I had 2 dogs on the reservation. I already paid the $25 at check in for the pet fee which it states on their website that the fee is $25 for up to 2 pets. The guy argued that this is their policy and he will need to talk to a manager... currently waiting for a response. As for the hotel, the floors were sticky. The sheets were like sandpaper with pilling. They literally felt like

Positive: It was by the beach Negative: Yes, there was hardly any water pressure from the shower.Also the room was very damp. All of our clothes were damp.

For those looking for an honest review of this hotel, this is it..... If I could give this place a 10 star I would! The breakfast is great, the view of my room was spectacular! I was on the second floor room 219. Before I booked my room I read the reviews and a few reviews said that there were bugs in the room but that's not the case I think they were just the people wanting their money back so they had to find something but there was NO bugs whatsoever... ! When I'm in Daytona again I will absolutely be staying here the hot tub is great the pool was great everything about this place was great.

We got this room after staying on the south side of Daytona the night before. When we arrived it was about 11:30. I wanted to check with the counter to see if it's better to book with Expedia, or Book with them. Turns out it's about the same price. Once the room was booked to my understanding, and said to be an ocean view room, I was told with wouln't be ready till 3pm. Which is no biggy as the sign behind the young lady stated "Check in 3pm". We arrive again at 3pm after driving around and waste time, shopping etc.., just to find the room wasn't ready yet. Infact it seemed as if I didnt even have a room that was put aside for me. I thought I already paid for one, that just needed to be cleaned when I was there at 11am, but I guess not. So not a ig deal, I gave her my card. The

Love the room as I had a handicap accessible room for my first couple of days here which was excellent and spacious as well as close to lobby and laundry and beach access as well as pool and the hot tub I could see off in the corner of the pool area. The breakfast was pretty good self serve waffles and toast as well as bagels a scrambled eggs and sausage links. There were yogurt cups and coffee and juice options. The only issue I experienced, which was huge actually, was that the front desk staff was very unhelpful. I especially am complaining about the night staff member named Gus, who was particularly rude and uncaring and even had the nerve to come to my room to help me with the tv and was unsuccessful then told me he wasn’t maintenance staff and that there basically nothing he could do
