La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Boston Somerville

We stayed for one night while travelling through New England. Room was clean and breakfast was decent. The location is very good, a short walk away from a Trader Joe's, stores and restaurants from Assembly Row, and the T station to get downtown in about 15 minutes. The first part of this walk is on a quiet street, on the back side of big stores, but it felt safe walking there. I have been charged 10$ for parking which is reasonable but I don't remember reading this when I booked. Overall, great value.

Very convenient distance from downtown Boston at a very competitive rate. ||The facility is a bit run-down and doesn’t “feel” clean, perhaps because pets are allowed…but it’s fine. The room had some bizarre noises during the day — I suspect it was because my room wasn’t far from the elevator. Screechy metallic sounds every other minute. Scary the first morning — dealt with it the next. ||Plumbing was problematic the first night — but the staff took care of it shortly after reported. ||Speaking of staff, everyone was perfunctory, if not pleasant. Management would be wise to hire two more persons during the day when shuttle rides are heavy and to assist with front desk operations. ||For those of you with allergies, I’d highly recommend double-checking the room. Positive: "" Negative: The hotel had a weird smell and the room smelled worse. I asked for a late check out at the front desk when I checked in and the next morning, my key didn't work after the normal check-out time. No apologies at the front desk.

We recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Boston Somerville and overall had a good experience. When we arrived, we were welcomed by Krissi, a lovely and professional girl who made the check-in very easy and pleasant. She was helpful and kind, which gave us a great first impression. The room was good, a bit old but tidy and clean, which is what matters most. The hotel itself was comfortable and we felt fine during our stay. Breakfast was a little disappointing for us, mainly because we are Europeans and the typical American breakfast is not really what we are used to, but everything was still okay. This stay was SO much better than my previous one and I’m really glad I gave them a second chance! Staff were super friendly (like last time) and the room was really clean and warm. We stayed during the weekend of the reaaalllly cold temps and the start of the snowstorm and the hotel was always warm and cozy. Location is wonderful because it’s so close to everything ! WiFi can be a little trouble but it’s free so don’t bother the staff about it lol
