La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Alice

From the moment I pulled into the parking lot at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Alice, I knew I’d made a great choice. Right away the property gives off a welcoming, well-kept vibe that sets the tone for a comfortable stay. Check-in was smooth and friendly — the front desk team greeted me with a smile and had my room ready without any wait. They were genuinely warm and knowledgeable about the area, offering helpful suggestions without being pushy. The room itself was incredibly comfortable and spotless — exactly what you want after a long day on the road. We found two bed box in the bathroom we reported it. They asked us to switch the rooms the next morning we found two roaches in the new room, not to mention the roaches that came out of the waffle machine in the kitchen where we were having breakfast by the lobby, we reported it the lady was not friendly, and she had that as if it was a known issue all these issues were reported to the guy in the front desk, he literally said “I don’t know what to do”

Positive: The front desk staff were very courteous and professional. Negative: We did not like the roaches in the room or the mold in the bathroom, and that’s why we checked out after our first night.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This is the worst La Quinta I have found. Very grungy and worn down hotel. The rooms smell like a swamp and are very dirty. Fitted sheets on the bed were so worn out and loose they kept falling off and even had a cigarette burn in them. Also this is a poor location, no sidewalks, no pedestrian crossings at the stop lights. Good luck walking across the street to walmart, you will be risking your life. The “Complimentary Breakfast” was literally inedible. Wyndham really needs to look into what’s happening at this hotel and consider removing their name.

This hotel is one of two that are national chains in the town of Alice, Texas. I had read other reviews before staying there and agree with them. The hotel is older, but clean. I did find and dispatch two cockroaches in my room, and the carpets in the hallways and rooms need to be replaced or cleaned. The towels were also old and many were ragged. The service however was excellent and the staff were very nice. In a pinch, I would stay here again.
