La Quinta Inn by Wyndham West Long Branch

I checked into the hotel after traveling for 20 hours from Prague back to New Jersey. I was in the room relaxing for an hour and a half before deciding to take a shower. When I got out all three towels in the bathroom had different stains on them. So I dried myself off with a shirt I had. Then I inspected the two beds that were in my room and found a stains on the sheets of one of the beds so I decided to sleep in the other one. I inspected that bed and found that all three pillowcases also had stains. There was also a brown stain on the resting chair they included in the room. I immediately checked out of the hotel instead of asking for another room because I didn't have any confidence another room would be any cleaner since there was eight different items that had stains in my room. Exceptional Stay - Highly Recommended! Had a fantastic stay! The room was impeccably clean, incredibly quiet, and very spacious. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Highly recommend this spot for a comfortable, stress-free experience.

The hotel is very difficult to enter - entrance only from one side of the road. Faces a very busy noisy road so we changed our room to the opposite side - much quieter. Hotel needs a lot of work - very run down looking from the road, although the rooms had sort of updated finishes. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a disgrace. The bathtub bottom was dented and had a significant ponding issue. The bathroom tile floor was incredibly slippery when wet as was the bathtub. The tub was also rusted and was partially painted. The bathroom sink was cracked and did not have a stopper because someone had dropped a toothpaste cap down the drain that was blocking the actuator for the drain. I travel frequently for my job and have experienced a wide variety of hotels and customer service issues, but this has been by far the worst. We were charged an early check in fee on arrival, for only being a couple hours early. I have never experienced a fee for that before at ANY other brand of hotel. We reluctantly paid because we were tired and needed to rest. Our king room (111) appeared acceptable on arrival. The curtains were old and stained, the carpet aged. The bathtub was very slippery as previous reviews mentioned, I slipped and had to stop myself from falling. The pool area was nice, the pool water warm, but unfortunately the hot tub was only lukewarm. Breakfast was not good. Serving cold food, the eggs and sausage were not good. No non-stick spray was provided for th
