La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Stockton

Even though I have never had an issue with La Quinta, after my recent stay I can say I won't attempt it again. I stayed 1 night. After my deposit actually charged to my account, I had to call and see why. The woman on the phone tells me there was a tear in the mattress and bedding (which I did not do) then asked if I got the pictures. I had to ask for the pictures to see what they were charging me for. After I receive the one picture, I see a cut on the side of the mattress. The only way I would have even saw the tear was if I took the bedding off, which I have no reason to do. Long story short, they took my deposit and just wanted me to accept it. I've never had a damage charge (especially to this extent) on my hotel rental experiences. I'm never admitting to or paying for something I did

The hotel is run down. It needs a deep clean and minor repairs. The beds are squeaky. I am not too fussy especially if I am paying less than other hotels in the area but I would not stay here again. I did not like the unidentifiable brown drip streaks on the bathroom wall, huge pieces of chipped paint, etc. Stuff like that is kind of gross.

Positive: The staff. The ladies who checked me in were wonderful! I had not planned on getting a room. With the rain being as bad as it was, I did. The room had almost everything needed, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, plenty of linens. Bed & room were comfortable Negative: I'm thinking...nothing comes to mind.

Just don't do it! I was Stockton, from SF, for a sporting event, and we just needed a place to lay our heads. We checked out one hour after check in because we felt so unsafe. The hotel was empty and we were given a room far away from the lobby. There wasn't a place to park by our room, there were no lights, and our room was facing the dark stairwell. We went to the front desk and asked to be moved for safety reasons. He moved us to another location but further from the front desk. Again the spots in front of our room were full. We went in and we disgusted. While the room was "ready", the smelled like cigarettes, the walls had marks, the base boards were nasty, the chair was stained, and the bathroom.....well neither one of us wanted to sit on the toilet or shower. We were leaving

This is my second time staying! I like a little hood, when I visit home so I don’t expect perfection. Small queens beds, two of my children were bit, not certain how. I had to switch rooms due to cleanliness, I didn’t want to be a bother so I asked for cleaning supplies for the second room. Third day we asked for room service, she through and hooked it up. I love how you asked for towels, tissue cups, they are quick to assist. TV tiny but it worked just fine. Service was wonderful, I felt so welcome. Lady young lady in the kitchen, was cleaning, conversing and helpful, the first morning, Nice food selection, maybe more fresh fruit. Second morning eggs were in water, odd.
