Kootenai River Campground

We stayed for 7 nights in September. The campground has a fantastic nature setting. The owners live on-site and are very friendly and make sure you feel welcome. It can accommodate larger rigs (there was a tag axle Class A that stayed for a few nights while we were there) but only a few sites would work. We are a 42' 5th wheel pulled by F350 quad cab dually and we navigated the park with no issue. We had site 18 which was probably the best site in the campground. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this campground to others. There is road noise but it did not disrupt our sleep. There is also train noise but only heard the horn about 2 times during our week stay.

Addie and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this campground! The camp hosts, Chris and Marcey, are truly second to none—they are the most helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and caring hosts we’ve ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family, as if we’d known them forever. Their warmth and genuine hospitality added something truly special to our visit.||The campground itself is a peaceful haven. The private trail leading to the riverside is a hidden gem—perfect for relaxing, unwinding, and soaking in the natural beauty. Whether you’re watching the sunrise or sunset by the river, it’s pure serenity.||Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and enjoy a truly welcoming atmosphere. We can’t wait to return!

5 stars all around! We are making it an annual trip to come stay here. Chris and Marcey put so much love into this campground and it shows. They are always in the know of local activities and things to do around the area. The bathrooms and showers are so nice and clean. We stay in the tent sites which are very spacious, it doesn’t feel like you are stacked on top of your neighbors. There is a little store with just about everything you could need if you forgot something. My son loves the playground. The walk down to the river with a beverage after dinner is the perfect way to end the day. 10/10, see you next year!

We drove in all the way from Northeast Saskatchewan and arrived about 40 minutes after check-in, but Chris was incredibly kind and welcoming regardless. We stayed two nights in the tenting area and absolutely loved it! The campground is quiet, peaceful, and beautifully kept. The highlight for me? The bathrooms! They were surprisingly clean and well-kept, which was such a treat — especially coming from an area where campground bathrooms are usually dark and a bit scary. We really wish we could have stayed longer, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Kootenai River Campground to anyone passing through or looking for a cozy, relaxing spot to camp.

Quaint little campground that is well taken care of. We pitched a tent and the spots are huge, 2 tents and room for 2 more. The owners are the nicest people and you can tell they take pride in ownership. A little trail leads down to the river that is groomed with a bench or 2 for sitting in nature. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. The store has mostly everything you cold need and an even dump for your way out! Highly recommend
