Konocti Harbor Resort

The remodeling is still going on. My brother lives just down the street, so we drove through and they were painting the stairs. Can't wait to stay here when they open back up.

I toured Konocti Harbor, considering a spa and gym membership and a place to do occasional work since I am local. While quietly using my laptop in the empty lobby, I was confronted by staff only minutes later and a manager Jeff Warrenburg who told me, “You’re not welcome here—this isn’t for you,” shockingly I asked why and he asked if I was a guest and I told him no, I’m touring the facility and while I’m here I’m feeling out the space as I may become a member. They then escorted me out. Totally humiliating and unjustified. The resort remains dirty, outdated, and bug-infested despite new ownership. Once a local icon, now a disappointment—rude staff, poor maintenance, and zero hospitality. Not worth anyone’s time or money.

The property is not up kept well at all. Our room was full of spiders and spider webs. The windows and floors were filthy and the balcony was filthy and full of spiders. The staff was wonderful and did what they could to help us but it never stopped the spiders because the front door is not sealed, with a half inch gap at the top of the door. Very unsafe. The decks on the front side were in bad shape and filthy and had a lot of spiders and webs. It was just so disappointing! And when I left a message for the hotel manager he never responded. Very disappointing. This property used to be nice but it's gone way down hill. I won't stay here again. I do not recommend.

We stayed at Konocti Harbor for a wedding. The venue is really cool and you can see the potential for this place to be great again. Unfortunately, it’s a little bit of a time capsule from a once booming resort. There were some cool staff members but mostly service was slow, the crowd was sparse and the food was so-so. Seems like the punch list of repairs and modernization is so long it’s hard to know where they should start. Suffice it to say, without additional improvements, I wouldn’t go back.

Fantastic spot to explore! The pool is operational and the bar just opened its doors today. The check-in staff were friendly, and my room was spotless. The gym was also very well-maintained, allowing me to enjoy a great workout. I met some lovely folks during my stay, and the food at the restaurant was quite good. I've heard they're planning a poolside rave in mid-June, and I can't wait to be part of it!
