I had to stay at The Kodo Hotel in LA once for a last-minute trip, and I was absolutely stunned by how great it was—it’s easily one of the best hotels I have ever used. I realize now why it’s become so popular: the entire atmosphere is built around a calming, minimalist, Japanese-inspired design that creates an incredible sense of tranquility right in the middle of the city chaos. The whole hotel was so meticulously clean; honestly, it truly felt like a spotless home away from home. I loved every single part of my stay, from the peaceful lobby to the beautifully designed room. Was a great experience, ease to check in and it was a little weird not having a front desk but the customer service was amazing over text. Quick response with questions I had. Once checked in we got our digital key and was really impressed with the overall experience. Our room was clean and we really loved the design. Room was clean, interesting layout. The bed was really comfortable with great fluffy pillows. We will 100% be back to stay again. Highly recommend this hotel.||||Ohh try the restaurant at the hotel absolutely amazing!!

This is a Japanese, minimal air bnb style hotel, so don’t expect all the amenities a normal hotel gives. I liked the high-tech, self-check in style. The room’s wall are on the thinner side so you can hear the traffic from outside and other’s outside your room. My stay was cozy, felt overall safe and was wonderful. I definitely recommend coming here!

Just a warning there are no elevators so you need to walk up almost two flight of stairs to get to rooms. They say a bellman will help but there was no one to help after waiting 20 mins. Rooms are interesting but the lack of elevator/service was off putting

KODō Hotel, This chic Ryokan hidden in the Arts District of Los Angeles is a must stay! It was my husband and my second time coming here, and we came for his 37th birthday! The front desk upgraded us to a King Room for his birthday! Everything from the technological advancements, contactless check-in/out to the hospitality was even better than the last time! We will definitely be back! Thank you for everything!
