Kodiak Compass Suites

For anyone planning on staying multiple days, be advised that the rooms do not have “full kitchens” as it says on the website. There is a fridge, a microwave, and a toaster, but no stovetop. There are some dishes and about an ounce of dish soap, but no sponge and no paper towels, so washing dishes is also difficult. When I asked the front desk about the lack of a stove I was told that I could talk to housekeeping in the morning about getting a hot plate to cook on, but since I was working in the mornings it took a few days before I was able to get one, so this would be something to arrange before you arrive. Air conditioning is also listed as a room amenity, but you cannot actually control the temperature in your room. I set my thermostat to 65, but my room was always above 75 degrees; w

Medically evacuated from a Cruise Ship - needed emergency accommodation. Jingkie assisted my husband with a room and finding his way around while I was in hospital. They were fully booked but still managed to accommodate us on my release. Rooms have a kitchenette, fridge, comfortable beds and was very clean. Great place to stay, close to Port and easy to walk around down town. Would highly recommend and will always be grateful to Jingkie for her care!

Rooms were nice, very convenient location in town. The customer service was beyond awful! My husband went to the front desk to ask if they had children’s Tylenol due to my baby spiking a fever, knocked and called out for help, nobody answered. He went back an hour later and again knocked and called out, the front desk employee came out still rubbing his/her eyes just waking up and was beyond rude. On a separate occasion the next day he tried to make small talk as he was walking by about the stairs kicking his butt and he/she snapped at him saying “well take the elevator then”. I walked up to the front counter and asked to speak with the manager or a complaint form, he/she asked why and I stated because he/she was rude and his/her employer should know how he’s/she’s treating guests. New, clean, crisp and roomy. Classy and modern. We got blown off a hunting flight out and our group huddled down here. This will be our immediate goto from now on.

This is a great location. Close to most everything. What is not close(walkable) is a very short drive. Cabs are very reasonable; $10 to $15 to most parts of the island. Staff was great. Property is modern and rooms are modern with USB ports near the bed. Kitchenet had an apartment sized frig and adequate accoutrements for dining and there is a dish washer! Only problem was as seen in the pics. Kind of a tacky to expect a hotel guest to accept a campground experience in the loo. I mentioned the oversight to the front desk and was told Corporate was not responsive to their requests. Last but not least is the very poor quality of the tv. The picture was blurry like when watching old analog tv programs.Really wanted to enjoy watching NFL on a Thursday night.😩 Happy Traveling
