Kingsville Motel

Honestly with all the negative reviews I was worried about checking in, but those reviews were unwarranted when I got to my room. Let’s be realistic, this place is old yet it has its 60s charm of years past. I found my room clean and in good order. Basic necessities were available, along with Mini fridge, microwave, cable tv with tons of channels, small desk, and a full bathroom. Is there stains on the floor? Yes. Is that from a lack of updates or maintenance? No. You can see that someone cares about this place and the negative feedback is unnecessary. If you want fancy, this isn’t the place, but if you need a cheap place to rest, it’s just off the highway next to a family diner.

I am Not a happy person after I was lied to and they cheated me out of money and room has a nasty odor smell to it. I will Never ever recommend anyone to this motel again.

Let me start by saying that this place is an absolute dump. If I could give zero stars, I would. I called and explicitly asked for a non smoking room and they forced me into a disgusting, dank, cigarette smelling room. It was late and I just accepted what they forced upon me. When I checked in, the person looked like she was coming off of an extended bender. Very unprofessional.||I addressed my displeasure the next day and she said that my reservation had been mixed up with another reservation. NOT MY PROBLEM!!!!! Totally disrespectful. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS CRAP-HOLE EVER AGAIN!!!!

Based on reviews I expected a quaint, clean, retro, Mom 'n pop motel. It is old but, not so quaint. |It may have new owners. They're nice enough and didn't bombard us with a bunch of rules and check in was easy. |A fridge was the only in room amenity.|The carpet turned my feet black so it's past time to be replaced. Otherwise, the room was "just ok" clean. Plentiful hot water for the shower but the bed was sorta hard with two whimpy little pillows. |Finally, the parking lot is in pretty bad shape and the awning mentioned earlier is partially fenced off. |I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if need be but, will look for other value based accommodations when I'm in the area.

I've been to many hotels, from big chains to little, this one wins! It is older, old furniture, old decor, but it was the cleanest hotel/motel I've ever been in! The towels are old school small is my only complaint an I'll take that 100 times over to have a clean place to lay my head...was not disappointed in the slightest!
