Dav-Ed Motel

We love this little motel. It is older, but it’s clean and need as a pin. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are spotless. The sheets are nice. The pillows are nice. Everything is fine. Bring your own toiletries and don’t expect fancy towels, but we keep going there back every week when we’re working out of town.

I don't know how this place received good reviews - maybe fake ones. I assure you I am a living person and this place was pretty terrible motel. We were put in a smoking room. Not our friends. The floor in our room was so filthy, it was a "carpet" and my feet were black. ||There were cigarette stains all over the carpet. The smell of the room was a combination of "dog", cigars, cigarettes, and pee.||Honestly they have no right to ask for money for a room like that. It was disgusting

Checked in just to use the shower. Frozen pipes in my home in NE Ohio.... go figure. For the last 10 years I've traveled cross country too many times to count, too many hotels. Dav-Ed hotel was by far the cleanest I've ever seen. Not a cobweb or stray hair in site. Kudos to the cleaners.

My family and I were traveling from Buffalo to Cleveland two days after Thanksgiving. A terrible snow storm closed in and it was 15 mph traffic and we could not see the road. We pulled off the first exit to find somewhere safe and warm to stay for the night. Front desk was very polite and available at almost 10:30PM. The put us in two bed, non-smoke. It was an $75 a night motel so you get what you expect…1985 decor, older beds….but had what we “needed”….shower, bed, mini-frig, TV. Life saver to stay there! It’s $75 a night….met that price standard. Front desk even held room for two night if snow didn’t clear…snow cleared and we didn’t need the 2nd night and they didn’t charge me.

I believe our car was tampered with by motel staff that saw me bring a bottle of Lysol into my room to simply get rid of the cigarette smell. I think she thought I was going to clean the room with it. My transmission had steel wool particles blocking the transmission filter. That cannot happen by any other means than physically putting it in the dipstick tube.
