King's Inn Motel

This place is literally the only option available in this area, and it's a disaster. Strong smell of smoke in a supposedly non-smoking room. Fridge that didn't work, bathroom that wasn't clean. I would have read a book to forget that I was staying in a hovel, but only one of the three lamps in the room actually had a lightbulb. No wifi, free or otherwise. No smoke alarm either. It ended up being so disgusting, so unsafe, and so far from what was advertised, we checked out after 12 hours and left. Do not recommend, unless the alternative is prison.

The manager/staff lie as suits them. They're attitudes are nasty. The hotel is fine because you get what you pay for. They have tried on multiple occasions to change the price and add deposits to my bill. Even though I have stayed here a number of times and never been charged a deposit. The cleaning people try to get you out the room before checkout. Also I asked for a non smoking room and they put me in a smoking room. They acted as if I messed up the room within the time it took me to see the room and come back to report that the room was a smoking room. They also tried to charge extra for a different room and said that it was taxes when they have never charged their so called taxes before for the same exact room. The pricing for the rooms is good. The room was clean. Microwave and small fridge in the rooms but no coffee machine or irons. There is no pool or restaurant within walking distance from this motel, however there are a lot of fast food spots within a 5 min drive. Good deal for a quick overnight stay.

I’m a traveler construction worker who was traveling for work.The man rudely hung up in my face when I ask for a weekly rate. He said they do not do weekly rates. They only do “pay by night of stay”. I wasn’t done talking to the man, but he still had the audacity to hang up on my face. I hope this motel work for you guy. Thanks.

Due to a set of fortunate and unfortunate circumstances my wife and I we're stuck in North Carolina for a month. Kings inn and its employees have made us feel at home and have went out of their way to make sure that we had a place to sleep every night. The owner of this establishment is one of the kindest and sincere people that I have ever met. If you are in North Carolina and are looking for a home away from home Kings inn is that place. Clean, comfortable and well-kept.
