Crown Motel

The room that I got is newly renovated, clean, working fridge, microwave, AC, the bed is comfortable and the TV/cable work fine, so I am happy. I always bring my own pillows, sheets, towels, etc. so I don't have to use ANY hotel sheets or towels - even after being washed those things aren't sanitary (hotels don't normally wash bedspreads - yuck!)!|I am in town for a long-term job and needed a decent place to sleep and shower, I am 6 minutes away at Crown Motel. |I don't know who managed the property when the other reviewers stayed, but I've never met a nicer owner/manager than the couple that is there now!! |The property is old, but it seems that the new owners have done their best to renovate by replacing beds, fridges, microwaves and painted! The price is a little high, but it's worth

Dirty bed bug infested rooms. The owner rude and so is the rest of the family that stay there as well. They barley clean up and should be shut down. They also discriminate against customers by giving different prices. I would never in my life recommended this motel to anyone. You can find a better stay at the Regency on M.L.K. Great service and clean rooms every time

"Not fancy" is an understatement!!!|But staff is pleasant, rate is good, parking lot is big. Beds sleep ok, heat works and the fridge and micro wave do also. Plenty hot water.|For us working stiffs this is a better choice than other joint with the bad reputation, and costs less than the family oriented motel.

Omg stay away, cheap price and you get what you pay for. Dirty rooms, bathrooms disgusting, refused to shower in there. Dead squished bed bugs on the walls in several places in my room. But upon inspecting the bed thoroughly I didn't see any on the mattress. If it wasn't so late I would have left and got another place elsewhere. Yuck!!!

Alright. So, this is Oxford. You're going to get the people of Oxford - they're very similar to the People of Walmart except they're not in the same room with you. With that said... This place is the ONLY place I will consider staying, particularly at this price, if I'm ever in this area again. It's very much a family run business, and in a small town like Oxford, they're doing their darndest. When I say "a place like Oxford" I mean that yes, it's right off the highway but it's not especially a destination. Okay, so my stay.
