Kershaw Motel

This is by far the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. I stayed because of how close it was to family. I had to clean the whole room. Toilet had poop on it. Shower was filthy. I bought sheets to put over the bed. I sprayed lysol everywhere. The floors were gross. I should have drove an hour every morning to a decent hotel. The health department should shut it down.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY HERE! Let me preface that we attempted to stay @ another hotel, but it was booked. We were in town for a one day family reunion & we had been traveling for 17 hours.The room we stayed in smelled, the tub was nasty, peeling, & old. There was SLIME & hair behind the sink faucet.The shower curtain had SLIMY MOLD on it (I had the owner replace it immediately). Water barely came out the faucet & it wasn't hot. Some of the outlets worked. The smoke detector didn't work & THERE IS NO SPRINKLER SYSTEM. We bought cleaning supplies to make the room as sanitary as possible. Oh, the plus is there's a restaurant & Dollar Tree next door. The a/c worked great. Yes, the room was $58, but it wasn't worth it. The owner was the receptionist & housekeeper. I arrived at 10pm while traveling with my daughter . The desk clerk was so kind and courteous. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had a microwave full sized refrigerator and a table with two chairs. A large king size comfortable bed with clean linens. Every inch of this room was clean including Windows, mirrors,sink,tv Fraser, fridge microwave. The room was nicely painted and decorated. I paid an extremely modest price for this room. The quality of this room was so much higher than what I expected for the price. I also noticed it is well lit and has stores across the street for access to things you may need. I absolutely will return to this motel!!!

Very old motel, that is definitely a weekly rate type of place. I was given a non-smoking room but let me tell you, the amount of disgusting stale cigarette smell was gagging Worthy. Everything in the hotel was pretty much tired and worn out. But there was a couple of positive out of this place. The bed was decently comfortable, and it had clean like 800 count sheets and the bathtub insert with brand-new which meant it was at least clean. It was only $55 a day and if it didn't have the stale cigarette smell I would say it was worth it. But because it did and I don't smoke, it barely made this place tolerable

My husband and I stayed here last night. We were going to end up staying and paying weekly. But at about 12:30 a.m. someone with a key opened our door. Thank goodness we had the chain on the door. A minute later they came back asking who we were and that room was not rented out. She was demanding our names and to see our key. So we showed her our key and told her our names and she left. I then called the front office to find out why soneone was comig in our room like that and the man swore he did not know who it was. I asked if he had a wife and he said she was at home sleep. Tried to say it was the people next door. That no one had a key. But someone did have a key and she tried to get in our room.
