Executive Inn Kershaw

Reserved a room for my adult son and his girlfriend, during Christmas. I went to check in and the attendant seemed very rude, I assumed it was due to language barrier. Got into the room and it smelled of cigarettes (and I’m a smoker). There were ashes in the bed, on the sheets. I requested new sheets and remade the bed. The room itself needed a good scrubbing (walls were dirty) but the overall used areas were clean. First night the kids were exhausted from a 12 hour drive. They were out of the room early and home all day till late Christmas Eve. When my son got up to use the restroom that’s when the abundance of roaches were found. They leave one room open due to the excessive black mold growing on the walls. It is infested with cockroaches. I have stayed in 3 rooms, nothing changed. Beds are broken and sunk in, did I mention cockroaches???? It’s disgusting owning up the fridge and seeing roaches in your fridge. This is literally where the state pays for people to live here. It’s not a good crowd.

I stayed for a few months as I was working a crane job at the nearby gold mine. One thing I REQUIRE on the road is a kitchen or kitchenette, im too old to live on "road food". they had a nice room upstairs with a kitchenette, very affordable, and I was quite happy. Bed was comfortable and they didnt mind sporting me some extra pillows. Staff was SUPER friendly, especially the young man whose name escapes me right now. the received packages for me, took care of everything, not intrusive, very accomodating. And they pro-actively offered a discount the longer that I stayed past the first month. Good folks. For the price point, you cant beat this place. We (husband/wife) stayed here July 2025. Very conveniently located close to Carolina Motorsports Park. We were given a room on the second floor. The air conditioning was off and it was 5 hours before the temperature of the room was comfortable enough to sleep in. Therefore it was midnight before we could go to bed. The room had not been updated in many years. The carpet was visibly stained, had not been vacuumed and had holes and tears. The bathroom floor was tiled and had dust and dirt along the walls. Shower and sink were cleaned. The mirror had plenty of spots from previous guests. Sheets and towels looked and smelled clean. Bedspread was ancient and scary. I stayed at this place twice so far it was Sept 2024 and June 2025. It's a very pretty and clean room. It was quiet and pleasant had many places to put your clothes. If you want to stay there please BRING -> Hair Dryer, coffee and coffee maker, Iron and ironing board because they are not in the room. Both times that I stayed there their ICE MAKER does not work. But they have a bucket for ice in the room as well as a bag to go in it. Also, they had no bag to put your dirty clothes in. The microwave and refrigerator work great :) They could have spared a couple more towels. I had enough but if someone was with me we'd have to have more. Remember to plug up their phone as they are always unplugged. Their TV is solely ROKU and doesn't allow you to watch local channels and very limited. A
