Kaluakoi Villas

Kaluakoi Villas is a place of contrasts. It’s quiet, scenic, and full of potential—but also clearly marked by decline. The area has been deeply affected by the long-standing “don’t change Molokai, let Molokai change you” philosophy. While the intention behind that sentiment is understandable, the reality is that this once-promising resort area now sits on the verge of ruin. There are numerous abandoned buildings throughout the property, and they give the entire area a distinct ghost town feel. The pool is still maintained and usable, but it’s surrounded by empty, deteriorating structures, which can be unsettling and a bit sad when you think about what this place could have been. This place is true heaven on earth. Ever since I’ve been here, amazing things have been happening. I feel blessed and closer to my spiritual self and the higher powers. The energy is astonishing! The small community gives it a great sense of privacy yet people are there if you wanna interact. Nice pool area to just relax and the breeze is just right! Everything about this place feels RIGHT. I will come back here years from now

Cannot put a star review that adequately “rates” this place . 1st day- the beach is wonderful… just like the photos! My studio condo is exactly what I would expect for the price I’m paying. Serves it purpose well!!! I’m figuring out the transportation and that is daunting as I am not renting a car! And this place - half abandoned—- shuttered dwellings and buildings…..odd combination. And there is a back story I hope to hear from the locals. Will have more later.

We stayed at the Villas for 2 nights. Even though Molokai it’s not a ‘turistic’ island the stay was really nice. Lots of birds. we’ve seen a sea lion on the beach. Beatiful island and very nice people!

Not the place to go if you expect to be pampered or living in luxury. The place is adequate, locals are amazing, the beaches are endless & empty. #molokaimobetta
