Kalaloch Lodge at Olympic National Park

My wife and I visited Kalaloch Lodge in December and it was incredible. All staff were extremely and helpful in deciding our plans to hike. We appreciate how nice our room was as it had an amazing beachside view. Our room was above their restaurant which was extremely convenient so we could eat, get our coffee and head out to our trail. If you have a chance, their five course wine pairing dinner experience was our highlight as we ate many great dishes. Chef Bo was personable and took pictures with us afterwards. The location is awesome because you could drive to many good trails close by. Overall, great experience and we plan to come again.

My husband and I like to travel in the off season so that we don’t make reservations ahead of time. It was getting dark and if you have ever driven in this area you know there is great distance between most choices- particularly in the off season. This Lodge was like an oasis in the desert and we were so glad they had a room. The beach behind the Lodge was a great walk in the morning. Being from Georgia this was very different beach walk. The restaurant had good food and our rooms were great. This was a great place to stay!

The location, facilities and service were excellent. The porcelain tile floors in our cabin were unnecessarily waxed and very slippery. The wax needs to be removed to prevent a slip and fall.

Don't listen to the people who reviewed this as one star. They've corrected almost everything those whiners were complaining about. This is a place to relax and unwind and it could not be more perfect for that. ROOMS. These are rustic cabins with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Everything really important is perfect: great mattress and nice hot shower. There is a wood burning stove with ample firewood hand delivered every day. There is coffee and tea and a place to cook. Bring supplies for cooking and snacking as there is nothing within a 40 minutes drive. FOOD. Luckily, you don't need to go anywhere else. The restaurant's food is really, really, really good. This is a truly amazing lodge. Sitting above cliffs that look down on a beautiful beach, the lodge and cabins echo with the sounds of the nearby waves, and nothing else, while the sight of an entire sky set ablaze by the sunset or illuminated at night by bright stars and the moon. The cabins themselves are straight out of a fairytale, with an open layout with all of the amenities you could possibly use, even including a wood burning stove! Beyond the lodge, the restaurant is absolutely phenomenal, though you need to get dinner reservations on open table and the wait can be a bit long due to being understaffed. Also, the mercantile has a pretty mean latte! All of this in a beautiful location that's just minutes from the tree of life, Ruby Beach, and the Quinault Rainforest! As of 1 March,
