My family has been going to Kafka's Resort for years. The resort owners are very friendly and accomdating, and the property is lovely. There are ten cabins with a lake front view of the lake. Kafka's has a bar with a small game room for fun in the evenings.||||I enjoy kayaking, hiking, swimming, fishing, and reading by the water. There is a sandy area by the lake that is fantastic for young children to play in, and the water is also shallow enough for kids to play. There is a raft father out that is nice for diving. About a mile down the road is the Holiday Stables where we go horseback riding.||||For the cabins, you will need to bring your own towels. We also like to bring our own pillows. Sometimes the kitchens in the cabins are missing utensils, so we like to bring our own favorite kitc

If you are looking for a great time Kafka's is your place. We go every year and it gets better every single time. The owner Mark Kafka is one of the nicest owners out there. It is on a great location on a great spot right on beautiful Lake George. It has a safely anchored raft that the kids love to play on. There is a playground the kids call the "park" and also a shuffleboard, volleyball and basketball court. If you are an adult they have a lounge and bar in the check in area. For adults they also have a horseshoe pit that us adults always have fun on. There are 10 well cleaned, modernly furnished cabins. Each cabin has a kitchen, living room, 2-3 bedrooms. We have never had a bad time here and I have a feeling we never will!

Unless you are comatose or have babes in arms, and pregnant avoid Kafka's in Rhinlander Wisconsin. It is "Lodging by the Lake." Yep that is it. Yes there is a beach on Lake George but forget enjoying it. Kafka's are against any fun at their cabins, and will tell you so day or night. The cabins had no cross draft for a breeze. You are not allowed to have visitors unless you are willing to pay $20.00 per person per hour. My young daughter went to play on the swingset and was question on who was at our cabins, of course she was upset by the old man askng her questions about herself and her family. There are no fire's allowed. It just --. Go next door to the Miller's Resort and have a blast. Holiday Acres is the best for activities. Brekkes Resort is very clean and has plenty of boats

We stayed here over my birthday this summer, we had a great time. The people were very nice, offering that we could use the boat, if we wanted to. All of our windows opened, unlike what other reviewers said. I thought it was clean, and the hosts were accomidating, and the sunrises over the lake were great. We watched an Eagle fly around the trees outside, and hunt for fish. We had lots of family stop by, no problems... It was a little rainy, but the cabin had a nice heater, and lots of stuff in the kitchen, so we could eat in (plates, cups, kinves, everything we needed). It is peaceful, and quiet, so if you want a party, you might have to bring your own, we did. I'll stay there whenever I'm in the area.

We have been going to Kafkas for years now and we love it. The kafkas are nice people and they don't have a problem with us having fires every night. Litteraly, we have fires every night. We all have kids and kids can be loud and they have never told us to keep it down EVER. it is perfect for kids of all ages, the water by the beach is very very shallow - kids love to sit in the water and play, and feed the ducks. There is a huge field where we usually play baseball or volleyball, cabins are nice (could be a little updated though) and some windows don't open but who wants bugs anyway - we just bring our fans. The fishing is great and sometimes hard but its a great time. I would recommend this resort. We also do fireworks on our last night with no issues.
