Jonathan Dickinson State Park River Campground

Loved it, apart from the noseeums. It’s a roll of the dice if and when they show up and depends on the temp and wind. The River campground is very nice and well looked after. Sites 135, 137, 139, and 141 are good. We successfully grabbed a cancellation for 137. It is one of few more private sites. Most of the other sites are very close together and not private. But people were very friendly and respectful. Lot of families and a gathering of a pack and paddle group. Great people. We’ll return for sure.

My favorite state park in Florida. Mtb trails are fun ranger being my favorite. Camp grounds are clean and park staff are amazing.

Added a wonderful afternoon boat ride through the dense freshwater river Forest. Well worth a few dollars. And what a wonderful addition to the already terrific campground.

Great Campground. Grounds are kept nice. Bathrooms and Showers are very clean. Within walking distance to the Elsa Kimball environmental center and River store. There are very shady spots. Each site has a grill and fire pit. Water and electric hookup.

Clean campground close to the river with a boat ramp close. Lots of widelife for your viewing. Great for fishing or take your paddle boats or boards out. Big enuff ramp for small to medium size boat. Staff is really great. Don't forget your pedal bike.There are lots of trails to ride.
