Jiri-Rita Prairie Park

A beautiful trail to walk with the family, bird watch and if lucky spot deer napping. 10/10 i highly recommend visiting

Beautiful walk - lots of diversity of plants, insects, and birds!

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in the community. Every day after work I go for a run here, with the flowers blooming, the birds and butterflies flying around me, and sometimes I surprise a deer napping in the tall grass and it leaps and bounds in front of me. I could rant and rave for a long time about how tallgrass prairie is actually one of the most endangered ecosystems on the planet, and now we need more places like Jiri Rita. I am just incredibly grateful for the investment Valent made in our community and to the environment with this prairie park. There was a time when all of Iowa looked like Jiri Rita, and it's beautiful. Going on runs there after work does wonders for my mental health and happiness. Jiri Rita Park offers a great way to get outside and enjoy a diverse native prairie habitat. I appreciate the trails that wind through the prairie for an enjoyable way to get exercise and observe nature. Valent's sustainability efforts are a clear benefit to the community here.
