Jernigan House Bed & Breakast

The hospitality, warmth, customer service, and just great people. I was born in Ahoskie and raised in Aulander. Came home for the Holidays after being away for more than 8 years. Definitely didn't want to stay at any of the Motels in town, because locals..including myself knew....IT'S A HARD NO! So after a Airbnb search Jernigan House showed up. I also read the reviews and looked at the photos...but it doesn't do any justice. This place and our room was amazing. We will definitely be back!

I had an amazing week long stay at the Jernigan House!! Mike, Debra and Taylor were all lovely and made me feel like family. The house is historic and beautiful and this family is just incredible. The delicious breakfast was just icing on top of the cake!! I truly felt at home, and despite being on call as an OB/GYN for a week straight, I slept very well. My room was delightful and spacious. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I will be staying there regularly the rest of the year and I look forward to spending more time at this lovely place with this adorable family!!!

I was shooting a wedding in Eure, NC and could not find any decent lodging within 30 miles. Finally happened upon Jernigan house, which was about 20 minutes away, and I'm glad I did! The owners were welcoming, the B&B was beautiful, the location was clean, they provided some snacks and a nice breakfast. I'd definitely stay there again!

My team and I had the pleasure of staying at the Jernigan House. The house was so warm, welcoming and inviting. We felt right at home. Loved the rooms, especially the shower. ;) Debby was so wonderful. She made us breakfast and it was absolutely outstanding. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to everyone.

I had a business meeting -healthcare related, in the area. My wife and I stayed at the Jernigan House. We have stayed in bed and breakfasts before. This one was absolutely the best. We were upstairs in the Jake room. Absolutely beautiful home first of all.. Very quiet rooms. Wonderful breakfasts (you get a menu the day before!), flexible time for breakfasts, if you have to be somewhere by 0800…Mike and Debra, the hosts were the best… Very safe place. The amenities: all kinds of snacks and drinks… the coffee was wonderful. The towels were the best we’ve ever experienced. I could just go on and on. We will definitely stay here again.
