Jennings State Forest - Hammock Campground

We stayed here 3 nights at site #5, and it was fine other than loud partiers the first 2 nights. The campsite was good, with lots of space. Firewood here is plentiful. Bring water as there is no spigots with potable water.

This was a great hike. Low to moderate elevation with lots of foliage and at this time of year no bugs! Perfect 1 hour hike with some lovely running water. Campground and preserve, hiking and camping.. great day to explore!

Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed this campground. Nice shady spots and quiet being this close to the city. Will definitely stay out here again soon. It was great as it made easy access to our kayaking spots.

Was a great area. The campground was clean of past campers refuse, the campsites were spread enough even if they hadn't shut down some of them due to CDC regulations. The park itself is gorgeous with many miles of hiking trails, creeks and what not.

Amazing scenery, almost impossible to find your first time, but that's fine. Some things to know though before camping here. 1. All bookings are done through ReserveAmerica.com, do that before you go. The Hammock Campground is on the east side of the Forest, bootlegger is on the west. You CANNOT get to one from the other without driving all the way around the forest, so know where you're going ahead of time. 2. Do not trust Google maps or Waze 3. There is not firewood for sale, bring your own 4. So many spiders. 5. So much fun!!
