Customer Reviews
This is an RV park, not a hotel. They had pretty level gravel sites with full hookups and big rig pull thrus. We didn't use any of their facilities. Management was very nice and accommodating. We would stay here again and recommend it to everyone. If you're a full-timer and use South Dakota for your address, the new DMV is located just down the road from this park. So easy to get to. But... there is no parking for RVs at the DMV. Be sure to make an appointment first as we had to wait over 3 hours to renew our licenses.
Winter is an interesting time to be camping anywhere in South Dakota but this park was nice despite being snowed in for a day! The park roads were cleared quickly making it easy for us to leave when we were ready. I'm sure without the snow in spring and summer it is a lovely place to stay and play!
We were very disappointed. This was our last camping experience on a two week cross country experience. We stayed at the Yogi Bear campground in Wichita Falls, Texas at the beginning of the trip. Wichita was an amazing experience! However, Sioux Falls did not live up to our expectations. ||We arrived at 5pm. I went to the bathroom by the tent sites. The women’s restrooms were the dirtiest we have seen (we stayed in multiple national park campgrounds). My understanding was that it had rained earlier in the day, so I gave some grace thinking someone might clean them later that evening. We then headed to the pool. The pool was the dirtiest I have seen at any campground, hotel, etc. There was dirt/sand in the pool. After our pool experience, we headed back to the shower house. It was even wors
Fun little area BUT could use some improvements. We stayed in a cabin and there was no HEAT! It got down to 50F and no one slept well. When I told the front desk they just sort of shrugged. I didn't see an adult working anywhere. It seems like only high school kids work there. While I think it's great that they employ younger kids there should be an adult manager on site. There is also a large amount of noise pollution from the interstate.
This is a very clean and great place for kids. They have daily activity schedules a great pool plenty of grassy eras. Safe for the kids to ride bike. Only downfall is some highway noise but not enough to keep you up. Weekly rates are very affordable.
