Islander Inn

Right on the beach, private balcony made for a restful evening and early morning sunrise viewing. Not a new facility but has been updated. The hot water took a long time getting hot in our room but was great when it got there. If you are going, make sure you take a wall plug for your USB, the room has none in it. Nice breakfast included and the check in and out was fast and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Positive: Pool and parking Negative: Stained sheets and towels. The tv would not connect to the hotel's wifi, and direct TV wouldn't work either. We had to use our phone as a hotspot to use the TV at all.

We checked in at 330pm. Got to the room and it had a sour smell. The mini fridge didnt work and the blinds were broken. We got our swim wear on and checked out the indoor pool where it smelled like rotten eggs. We checked out the hot tub and only one jet worked. We overlooked all this and went to get dinner. We got home around 8 and the noise was insane. The walls are paper thin and the adjoining room had a screaming baby. The room above us sounded like they were bowling. We heard everyone coming and going on the stairs. We waited till about 9 and then called the office to see if we could change rooms. We have been to the Islander Inn in the past. Our previous trips have always been relaxing. The rooms are clean, the ocean view amazing, the balconies private. All in all a good experience. This one started out the same until Wednesday evening. Despite the hotel not being full, a family with three small kids put in next door to us. Fair, it's the owner's hotel. Although my wife and I are older and have raised our four boys, and prefer a quiet experience, it is what it is. However, the room we were given was adjoined to the family's room. The door that led to that room must have been an indoor door. We could hear everything. It was so clear we could hear them order a pizza and the woman's credit card number. The location is wonderfully convenient and located beach front. There is ice cream and restaurants within walking distance. There is good putt-putt and a park within a short walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room size was good and the room was clean. The indoor and outdoor pools were nice and the hot tub was hot and clean. The overall experience was wonderful.
