Causeway Inn

We love OIB, and we decided late to take a spur of the moment vacay. We booked a 2 queen bedroom on the ground floor through Sloane Realty Vacations. A couple days ahead, we got the remote check-in info, and the day of we were notified the room was ready 3 hours early. The pool is small but is clean and looks new! The ac worked great, shower has great water pressure. Washcloths and hand towels are wrapped inside the bath towel (1 set issued per guest on the rents agreement). Great location near the park for weekend concerts and weekly activities. I recommend this place for a good basic stay. Wish a broom was left just to sweep sand off the floor.

Rent process was smooth and easy. Great location, short walking distance to the beach and other activities, however, rating based off the room we chose (The Penthouse) needs a good deep cleaning. Needs new bed quilt due to ink stain and other misc. stains, walls have many food or drink splatters, under bed very dusty, ac filters need attention, etc. In general I expected a more thorough cleaning due to earlier check out time and the later check in. I would stay here again, just in a different room.

My daughter and I wanted a simple hotel/motel in close proximity to the beach. While this isn’t an oceanfront accommodation, it’s just about a 5 minute walk to the beach. There is a beautiful view of the Intercoastal Waterway.from the room we stayed in. The rooms are super clean, cute, and very comfortable. It is close to restaurants, ice cream shops, and beach stores. We would definitely recommend Causeway Inn and will stay there again in the future.

Location is great, we walked everywhere! The room was good for a cheap place to stay for two nights with just a getaway with my husband. Not a place to stay if you are stuck in the room, rooms are small and old, internet is SLOW. No where to cook, the rules and restrictions are crazy, you have to clean before you leave and the rooms weren't that clean when we checked in. We found an open soap bar in the corner of the bathroom and an earring in the floor, papertowel under the bed. You have to take your trash out and linens off the bed, collect all the towels in one location and clean the dishes you used.

We stayed in room 210. Beautifully decorated room with a king size bed, 2 flat screen tvs, fridge and microwave. Very clean and modern. Bed is very comfortable. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Beach is within walking distance. Most definitely would stay here again.
