Island View Resort on Nest Lake

Resort looks like it is going out of business…has not been mowed or weeded. We had two flat tires - one on our mail vehicle, one on our boat trailer - just put brand new tires on our boat trailer. So disappointing. Pictures online do not reflect this resort. All cabins are on hillsides making it difficult for our parents of 82 years and 80 years (celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary) to navigate. We just wanted them to enjoy fishing but because the the steep inclines and our cabin was on the 2nd floor (more stairs) and in need to major, major repair. My family was not happy that I booked this resort and I should have done more research. $2,000 for a three night stay that included a pontoon, I expected more than this. This has been our 2nd year coming to the resort and we love it here. Peaceful, serene, and fun. The kids spend most of their time at the beach, the kayaks make for amazing early morning memories and there is always a kid craft once a week. Can't wait for next year!!!

My family has stayed at Island View Resort both as seasonal campers and visitors at the cabins. Island View is a great family vacation spot, and has all the needed amenities for a weekend or week, or longer :) Kids enjoy the water toys and fishing right from the dock. The owners are fantastic. Great location!

We had a family of 7 in cabin 6. We all fit in the cabin with plenty of space. I gave the rooms a 3 because there are no doors on the rooms downstairs and I think the pipes needs to be fixed because the water smelled. ||Everything else was perfect and there was lots to do. My 12 year old made friends with the other kids and was never without something to do. My mom and I loved the paddle boats and kayak. My husband and dad rented a fishing boat for a week for 175 and it was worth it. Caught lots of sun fish, bass, and pike. We want to come back next year

We love Island View Resort, this is my fifth year visiting and we will definitely return! Darrin and Jessica are so hospitable! They have a great swimming area, great fishing in Nest Lake, and the location is quiet and quaint. Absolutely recommend this resort over and over again!!
