Ironworks Hotel Beloit

We loved the location of this hotel! It's connected to a nice steakhouse, and the rooms were beautifully decorated. The staff was very accommodating... special thanks to Jonas who helped us secure a connecting room! There are plenty of fun activities within walking distance. One tip: avoid rooms on the front left facing both roads, as the traffic noise can be quite loud at night.

This was a last minute booking by us, but it was probably the best stay of our trip. The onsite restaurant was a wonderful experience. The hotel was beautiful, and the surrounding area was a pleasant surprise. We are anxious to return for a multiple night visit.

Positive: We were visiting the college campus right across the street. This could not be a better location. Negative: Yes, I'm 5'2". The bed was so high off the floor that I had to build a "ladder" out of the extra pillows so I could get into the bed. Also, I wish the room had a chair other than the desk chair.

Where to start. Our stay at the Ironwood Hotel raised several concerns related to guest comfort, cleanliness, construction quality, and dining standards. The first room assigned was unacceptably cold. The air conditioner appeared to be stuck on and could not be turned off or switched to heat. There was no maintenance staff available at the time. Front desk staff attempted to assist but were unable to resolve the issue. While the room had been serviced, the bathroom floor was visibly dirty. We were relocated to a second room. The heating function worked properly, which was appreciated. However, the cleanliness issues persisted. We loved our stay at Ironworks. We reserved rooms here for a wedding in the area. Staff was friendly. "Free breakfast" was limited. Elevators were slow, but rooms were great. Odd wall setup for shower (frosted glass) that lights up the room when people wake up and go to bathroom. Our room had a great view of the river. The fitness room was surprisingly REALLY good for a hotel. Loved that they had Peloton Rower...first hotel I have seen one and then they had something for every body part. You can easily get a great workout in at this place. Beloit also has some great restaurants and bars in the area all within walking distance.
