We recently returned from a weeklong stay at Walden and we were absolutely blown away! The property is meticulous and the staff is incredibly attentive and kind. From chocolates in the evening to fresh muffins in the morning, we felt so at home. The rooms are spacious yet cozy with beautiful upgrades. I received a message in their world-class spa and it was definitely one of the best, most relaxing that I’ve ever experienced.||A special thanks to Lizzie who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special and unique. She is incredible and the Walden is fortunate to have her.||We can’t wait to return again next year!
Truly a five star hospitality experience. My husband booked a night so we could go to The Barn for my birthday dinner. The attention to detail by the staff is unmatched. Definitely an amazing first impression and I already can’t wait to return and try the spa.
We stayed a weekend at the Inn at Walden in what was considered the “least expensive” room, and it was truly a dream. The grounds and the building itself are stunning—immaculately clean and decorated with so much care and beauty. Dining was a highlight: The Barn restaurant was incredible, and we also loved eating at the Clubhouse. The nightly turndown service with wine and chocolate-covered strawberries was such a thoughtful, luxurious touch. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made the stay even more special. The only small thing we would change is that our room had many windows with only sheer curtains, so it was very bright in the morning. Blackout curtains would have been nice for sleeping in (even if they aren’t as pretty!). Overall
Years late for this review but me and my fiancé will never forget how this place treated us years ago. We were young and just looking for a nice place to enjoy her birthday and the staff went above and beyond for us. I’ve stayed at plenty of 4+ star places since and even though the location of the Walden was random it still to this day had the best service & romantic experience.
This past weekend I stayed in a suite at the Walden. A little under $700 a night. I grew up in Connecticut and NYC so I am well versed in the standard of good service and reasoning behind the cost of such establishments. Upon arriving, we were a little pulled back at the room itself. It is ohio so I am not holding to the same caliber as Connecticut and NYC.. with that being said this was so different it was almost funny. Whilst booking, we were able to view videos of rooms, and although I didn't expect an exact replica, it was an entirely different experience then what we were given. Alas, it was definitely not the same. Although the video features a bottle of Dom, do not expect anything aside from a $14 bottle of sparkling Cali wine. There were holes in our towels, and the tissue box ha
