Inn On The Hudson

We rented 3 rooms for a weekend in October 2025, for several family members for an outing to the Great Jack-o-Lantern Blaze, only about 10 mins. away. Our experience at this inn was great! Rooms were clean and neat, quite comfortable, all near each other, with beautiful views from the front balconies (2 of the rms, side by side!) overlooking the Hudson River. The front desk people were courteous and very friendly, they do offer a bagged breakfast (not great), but we were going out to a restaurant all together anyway. The kids did eat some of the items - muffins, etc. Coffee was available first thing. The hotel is near everything in this quaint, delightful town of Peekskill, where we had a fantastic authentic Italian dinner at a restaurant the night before. We enjoyed our stay; would

Positive: The best thing about this hotel is the amazing view from the room balcony. I did like the grab and go breakfast and the very strong coffee in the lobby. The staff was also nice. Negative: There was black dirt on the very noisy creaky hard beds. There was an army of spiders on the patio. The hotel in general really needs to be repainted and refreshed. The bathroom door paint was peeling and the lamp shade was stained.

This is, hands down, my favorite place to stay when we drive from Pittsburgh to visit my husband's family who live near Peekskill. It is quaint, charming& reasonably priced. This was our 4th time staying there- the management honored my request for a room "upstairs over the lobby" - beautiful view of the mighty Hudson River just outside our door. The rooms are just typical hotel rooms, but clean & cozy with a nice hot shower. Coffee is always available in the lobby and the "grab & go" breakfasts are generously packed with muffins, cereal, other pastry things, juice & water. And Peekskill shopping & restaurants are within walking distance. And did I mention the coffee? It is delicious! We only go once a year so I am looking forward to our 2026 journey!

Honestly not the worst motel I've ever stayed in, but definitely in the bottom 10. This is not a hotel. This is a motel. There is a lot of potential here especially with the location, but there is zero effort. The rooms are a good size and have a microwave and fridge. The rooms have actual furniture which could be really cute and unique if it was kept up at all. The bathrooms are grimy, there was mold in our shower, the water pressure was terrible, and the toilet was super low to the ground. The seals around the doors are nonexistent and you can hear the train going by at all hours, plus the insanely loud other patrons who like to hang out right outside your door at 6am talking/yelling at each other. I'm kinda disappointed we didn't get the rats that were promised in other reviews lol

This place should charge by the hour. To say that the room is dilapidated is a gross understatement. Everything was old and dated. I can attest that you can hear everything from the other rooms and the beds made an awful sound every time you sat or rolled over. I shudder to think what would happen if you tried anything else on the bed. We only stayed for one night and that was more than enough for all of us. I cannot even begin to process how much money I paid for such terrible accommodations. Maybe 20 years ago the place was nice, but not it’s just run down and definitely not worth the price.
