Inn at Ship Bay

Stayed 3 nights on Orcas Island. First time visiting. Enjoyed our room overlooking the bay and beautiful sunsets. The host, Josh went above and beyond making sure everything was taken care. Enjoyed our dinner on site and also the pop up vendor on site Tuesday with homemade goodies. The setting is quaint and beautiful.

Though the rooms are a little bit outdated, they are roomy and comfortable. We were looking for a peaceful few days and were pleasantly surprised. The dinner was amazing and the staff so helpful. If you want a dinner reservation it is best to call and leave a message. We came the first weekend of October so the season here is winding down. The views from the room and grounds were breathtaking. I even saw dolphins one evening.

The Inn at Ship Bay exceeded our expectations. The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful, and our downstairs room had an amazing view and private patio. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We had a fabulous dinner at the on-site restaurant, which features many ingredients sourced from their property. Thank you especially to Josh for being so kind and hospitable. We hope to be back again!

My fiancee and I just finished dining at the inn at ship bay and I felt compelled to immediately write this review as soon as I returned to my room. We are also currently staying at the hotel and the room is very clean and comfortable (zero complaints on that). That said, the review here is mainly about the Restaurant from the food to the kitchen/service staff. Our server Ben (B.)was on point and incredibly dialed in to every table he was working offering excellent suggestions for both food and pairings. Top notch! The food was excellent and sourced very locally...with a lot of it grown on grounds. The night only got better when dessert came. I remember coming here a while ago every time me and my family would take a trip to Orcas Island. Back then, it was good. Service, food, and overall experience was good. Now, it’s much different. We ordered our entrees, and even though they weren’t very full, our food took an hour to come out!!! When it finally did come out, it was not worth it at all! I tried the ravioli, which was not good. The broth tasted strange, and the ravioli itself was a little mushy and nothing to be excited about. When I looked around, I noticed that the other people were getting great treatment, while we were being ignored. There was confusion before we even arrived.
