Hyatt Regency Morristown

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Morristown in February 2025 as a World of Hyatt Globalist and had one of the most disappointing Hyatt experiences I’ve had in years. Globalist members are guaranteed a 4 PM late checkout at standard (non-resort) properties. This hotel refused to honor any late checkout at all and required me to leave at 11 AM sharp, citing occupancy. Occupancy is not an exception in the program terms. The benefit exists precisely so elite members aren’t rushed out regardless of how busy the hotel is. What made this especially upsetting is the context: I arrived directly from the hospital after saying goodbye to a family member who happened to die while I was visiting. We stayed here on 2/22 during an incredibly stressful situation — my 86-year-old mother had fallen and broken her leg and needed surgery the next morning. With a storm approaching, we chose to stay close to the hospital. She was wheelchair-bound, and managing everything was not easy. The staff was extraordinary. A young man in the parking area immediately stepped in to help with all of our luggage. A manager (short blonde haircut) personally made sure we were settled and comfortable. The next morning, two security guards dropped what they were doing and kindly helped me get my mother safely into the car. Every interaction was warm, professional, and compassionate. We had such a fun stay. I will admit, it has been years since I stayed here and it was in need of attention. The place has been renovated and brought up to the standards of a Hyatt. The room was warm, clean and the bed was super comfy. A bigger surprise was the awesome breakfast stand in the lobby, offering full service and tasty items at a reasonable price. It is not a restaurant in a hotel, rather a food service offering with simple items to a complete breakfast served hot and items were fresh. I give the Hyatt a huge thumbs up!

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency for the first time. We were visiting from California to see my family who lives a little further north. We chose this hotel based on walkability of bars/restaurants/cafes and proximity to the highway that we needed to travel to see family. ||The lobby is pristine and hotel is beautifully renovated, modern and clean. We checked in Friday evening with Octavius - who was so welcoming and kind. Our room was on the 16th floor which was great. I consider my husband and I to be well traveled and to me, it is VERY rare that you find a hotel that has a comfortable bed, pillows and towels, Hyatt checked those boxes. Positive: Very clean room & bathroom, smelled nice, new & modern, loved it! Very convenient location to walk to lots of restaurants etc. Parking garage right below with elevators into hotel & they validate parking so you get a cheaper rate. Had a great experience! Negative: ""
