Hyatt Place Denver-South/Park Meadows

This hotel was better than I expected. Only big issue was only 1 elevator working. This was aggravated due to max capacity with a hockey tournament going on. Elevator was slow as well. This caused backup at the elevator and being packed in to get upstairs. The best part was rooms were updated except for popcorn ceilings. There were lots of good things like- 1. Update rooms with larger TVs and HDMI easy to do computer hookup. 2. The shower was one of the first in awhile I have reviewed with fast hot water and good pressure. Like most Hyatt Places it did have tight space to get to the shower. 3. All rooms have microwave which is not standard in new Hyatt Places I have reviewed in the past. Big plus. 4. Stayed here for a week long work trip and it was great. Derek, Liz, Victoria and Christopher were awesome. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was always good and the gym had 50 dumbbells (humble brag) Very happy with my stay.

Positive: The staff on all 3 shifts from the check-in reception personnel to the cleaning & room maintenance wete more than accommodating! We had our air conditioner break down, so they replaced it &problem solved in a tumely manner. Thanks to a great Hyatt Team. Negative: The powdered eggs left a bit to be desired!

Amazing hotel in a nice area in South Denver. The interior was immaculate and the breakfast selection was fantastic. For the price this was very hard to beat outside of 5-star expensive hotels. The shower was great too with the available shampoo and body wash. Would absolutely book another stay at this hotel.

The location and the staff here are the best things this hotel has going for it. The room was clean enough, but the layout - especially the tiny bathroom that you can barely maneuver in and out of - is borderline hilarious it's so bad (see photo of how close the door gets to the toilet). You have to shuffle to the side of the toilet to get the door open and closed. Bed was just OK, sheets were stiff and uncomfortable, though. Bathroom door wouldn't lock (mechanism broken). Insulation isn't awful or great, but we definitely woke up at 5- something in the morning to the people getting ready upstairs. Breakfast was actually disgusting and not kept up with. You could go down hungry and leave without an appetite. The only edible thing, really, was a bagel or some cereal. Better than nothing,
