Huskins Court Motel & Cottages

This is the second year my girlfriends and I stayed at Huskins Court, and we absolutely LOVE it! Juanita, the owner is such a gem! It's like going to stay at your grandma's house. The rooms are cozy and quaint and most of all, super clean!!!! Juanita greets you with a warm smile and treats you more like family than a customer. She even brought us fresh, hot coffee in the morning. The rooms are a perfect set up for a girls retreat. Two of us shared a suite which came with two separate bedrooms (each with their own entrance) with an adjoining shared bathroom. Since there were 4 of us, we had the entire patio of room numbers 3-6 to ourselves. We enjoyed wine and snacks on the patio and enjoyed the cool mountain breezes. We will definitely go back again next year!

We loved our stay at the Huskins Court Motel and Cottages! We were seeking out something outside the box, not cookie cutter and welcoming and we got it here! Juanita and her son Jerry are exceptionally nice people and have a very clean, welcoming motel. We stayed in the large cottage which was wonderful! A full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a large family room. It was like being home but, better...we were in the High Country and loved every minute of it! If you want clean, comfortable, and quiet this is the place!

We chose Huskins Court & cottages because of the great reviews and the location. We are people who like to adventure and seek out hidden gems when we travel. We had our 16 year old daughter with us and she loved it as much as we did! We stayed in the large cottage, a very roomy 2 bedroom 1 bath (small home) with a large living room and eat in kitchen. The cottage was VERY clean and we felt extremely comfortable. ||Juanita, (she shares ownership with her son Jerry) greeted us upon arrival, our check in was personal and warm. She showed us the cottage and chatted with us about life on the mountain. ||The beds were comfortable and the breeze from the open windows was such a refreshing change from the cooped up air conditioned life we are accustomed to. This motel is a true jewel and step back

Great place to stay with real down home feeling. Nowhere else could you stay for the price like this. Very quiet place because rooms sit off the main road. A lot of work has been done to the rooms as they have been renovated and are super clean, beds are like sleeping on a cloud. Juanita welcomed us like we were family. Took time out of her day to sit and talk with us on numerous occasions. Can't wait to go back but make reservations early because rooms go fast. You won't be disappointed and pet friendly. It's nothing fancy but the cabins are clean and had all the basics. Location in the mountains is great. Hospitality of the owner is a welcome change. Six of us did a motorcycle run to Boone. After a long two days of biking to get there, the owner actually made Quick trip to get us a six pack of beer, and it was very appreciated! I would have given this five stars but for those who need internet, the Wi-Fi on the cabins is a little slow. I would not hesitate to stay again!
