Hotel Siri Downtown - Paso Robles

This was our second stay here and was excited because we had a good experience the first time. Well, they changed things up and have bolted the curtains to the ceiling so they cannot be closed at night. There is a thin, almost sheer curtain that they have hung between the two curtains for privacy, but all of the light from the hotel walkway on ground level comes in as well as headlights from cars coming in to park in the parking lot (cars park facing the exterior doors of ground floor rooms). This made our stay extremely unenjoyable as the room was as light as day. I did not sleep well at all. I won’t be returning.

The hotel is nice. Good location. Outlet in bathroom didn’t work nor did the elevator. Makes luggage more difficult and when it’s hot it’s not a great thing.

I got food poisoning the day before my trip. I called to let them know and see how we could move or cancel the date. They said to call back next day to speak to the manager, I called they said the manager would be in in a few hours, call back, same thing, call back say they will be in Monday. Call back, say there is no way to contact the manager— but the manager will contact me. Wait a week, nothing. Call back, same story. This hotel and the management suck.

I was surprised the hotel was as nice as it was. Its older but clean. We got a balcony room. The guy that checked us in was nice. If you are looking for a hotel close to downtown try this one out. It's a little to far to walk downtown but only about a 5 min drive to shops. The price was good. There was a mini fridge,microwave, hair dryer in our room also. Lots of room for 2 people.
