Hotel Ouray

What a wonderful oasis in Ouray! It was quiet and had lots of room. The service was great and not intrusive. The bathroom was stocked with lotions, make up cloths, shampoo and conditioner. There was a sitting room with a tv, a king size bed (with a second tv), and two swivel chairs to just stare at the beautiful scenery outside. There’s no elevator so you get to ascend this beautiful staircase. It was close to Christmas when we arrived, and the decorations were beautiful. There is a breakfast room where you can get muffins, fruit, boiled eggs or other breakfast options till 10. They have coffee, a selection of teas, and hot chocolate. It’s totally awesome! We stayed here for my daughter's wedding. It's a beautiful, historic building that was once a law office. Breakfast is provided (good coffee), rooms are adorable. Some rooms are less expensive because they have only interior windows. I didn't get a chance to look into any of those. My only minor complaint is that there was no full-length mirror in our room, which would've been nice while dressing in formal attire. The hotel is very well situated for visiting hot springs and going on hikes. Casual dining places, bars, shops, and a small grocery store are within walking distance. The setting is gorgeous.

Excellent experience! Friendly staff from the moment we checked in. Was provided a quick tour and escorted to our room while explaining amenities. Room was #11 - a king suite overlooking 6th st. Room and bathroom were spotless, bed was very comfortable, and room was nicely decorated and furnished with new fixtures. Bath towels were thick and hair products provided in a tiled shower. Felt like a high end, intimate boutique inn and did not disappoint. ||Nice breakfast offerings, with bakery items, bagels, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, etc. there is even “real’ plates, glasses, coffee cups, and half-n-half cream for beverages (not the powdered stuff). Positive: It was very charming and quaint. It was also very quiet which was great too. It felt more like a bed and breakfast.Just FYI, they have pool towels for the hot springs at no charge. Negative: We knew there were 22 steps getting to our floor and had no issues. The people we traveled with though didn’t read the message on the website. Not the hotels fault by any means. Reading is key.

From the moment we arrived, the front desk lady was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She even took the time to give us a tour and share the rich history of the property, which made the stay feel extra special. The pictures truly don’t do this place justice—it’s charming, cozy, and very homely. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in town.
