Hotel Mira Vista

First time staying here. I have seen this hotel transformed and I like the upgrades. Very convenient location close to grocery shopping, restaurants and light rail station. The rooms are spacious with microwave and refrigerator. They always have coffee and serve continental breakfast. Secure location and friendly staff. Much better than staying at a Motel 6 and fair price on what you get. They have vending machines on every floor plus laundry facility on the ground floor. They could improve in getting better pillows and betterroom lighting with recessed lights.

Close to freeway exits and pretty safe area from what u seen also had taco truck behind building always a plus! Rooms could be bigger n restroom took long to flush but other than that the shower was super clean and rooms didn't have bugs linen was spotless n hairless and it didn't smell bad at all so I can't complain. Pretty good deal. I didn't really get pictures because I was so tired. But what u see on Google is exactly how it looks.

Phone had no line, tv would not let Netflix be chosen. They switched us to another roomthat was supposed to be the same it did not have Netflix, so defeat our purpose of watching movies on our account. Called the reception 2 times before someone finally came after more than 30 mins of waiting.

My wife and I stayed at the Mira Vista several times in the past several years. Our most recent visit was June 9 thru June 17, 2025. The hotel is located in a retail/commercial area on Potrero Ave, between San Pablo Ave & I80, easy access for auto travel. The BART is an easy 10 minute walk and public transportation is available at the corner of Potrero and San Pablo. A 5-10 minute walk east on Potrero will take you under the BART tracks into a residential area of single & multiple family homes and other neighborhood amenities such as parks, schools and churches. There are many restaurants, Safeway grocery store with pharmacy, and other retail stores within a half mile of the hotel.||It is an older hotel. I guess 30 to 40 years old. The rooms are clean, they have what we need, the price is reasonable. If you are looking for lodging at a reasonable price in the El Cerrito/Richmond area, I think you will be happy at the Mira Vista. There is a Denny's nearby that has great breakfast options.
