Hotel Lydia

No points off for doing renovations, first off .. the hotel lobby, though more difficult to find, was clean and smelled great, new. My first observation was the hotel is run and staffed by (and this is going to sound racist) Americans! They actually care if a customer has everything they need for a stay.. coming from some bad experiences with non-American staffed hotels in other parts of the country.. our room was fabulous, on the third floor with a smooth elevator ride to get there. Our room faced the harbor and was wonderful! The only drawback to the whole room was the mattress on the bed being too soft for me, being disabled, to move around easily on. I just require a firmer mattress. But we made do , and all the other amenities of the room were superb. Even the complimentary drinks at

I've stayed here twice and both times were pleasant, comfy and clean. The hotel staff kept up with the cleanliness and there are actual housekeepers going room to toom to empty trash fix beds and bring fresh towels. It was affordable and comfortable will stay again

The check-in was great and staff were friendly. The hotel is cute. Upon the arrival to the room it was very musty smelling and my son who has allergies and asthma had issues having to use his inhaler frequently. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the shower has great water pressure. When asked about ice, I was told there was none in our building but next door I could get a small bag for a dollar. I was like what the heck, it’s the same place I checked in at. The breakfast was a disappointment. They gave you a sack with a muffin, pastry, apple and water in it. Thankfully they did have instant oatmeal packets. No juice or anything else besides coffee was available. They didn’t even have cereal which is sad. It was in a decent location, was easy to walk to festivities and res

God awful stay... imagine being woken & kept up from 5-9am because the hotel kitchen. Being able to hear every little smash & clank and every possible metal sound imaginable. Ever wanted to experience Terminator vs Robo Cop ASMR, look no further. The rooms are all centralized with the lobby. And im a heavy sleeper. Oh! Dnt forget the prison style florescent lighting in your room to start your day. Every time I am reminded of this place it immediately ruins my day no matter how good of a day im currently having. REBRANDED FROM "THE PLACE". Hotel Lydia is WAY too fancy of a name for this place.
