Hotel Jefe at Ojos Locos

Good cheap hotel in Vegas not to far from the strip. Location is on the rough side but super close to the freeway. Only dow side to the hotel is the lack of breakfast place to eat. Head down the street to Wendy's for breakfast. They do have great lunch and dinner options. The hotel is quiet and the casino has plenty of machines to play.

(3 night stay. 2nd Floor. ) I'm not going to lie, this is one of the cleanest hood hotels I've been in. There has been obvious upgrades made to the facility to make it feel more pleasant but there are still things left to be desired. Only 2 to 3 of the staff look happy to work there. And one of them was the bar tender in the casino. I didn't receive a "boss" like vibe from them to work at a place named "Jefe". Aside from that, Check in was painless and simple. Dogs can stay for free which is a huge plus. The parking is well lit and even though you can tell that the neighborhood is getting a gentrification overhaul, the area is really quiet. Not the best as far as cleaning. I took my own disinfectant supplies. Walls are paper thin. Location is great! We prefer staying at this location than on the strip, why? No resort fees. Staff is very nice and friendly. We liked that the entrance to the hotel was separate from the casino.

The rooms are clean and beds are comfy then the price is right they only charge a deposit and no resort fees. The service at the front desk is awesome and they accommodate your wants if they have the availability. The area is iffy as there is homeless and stray animals but the hotel overall inside is quiet and clean.

Employees were nice enough. However, this place is pretty rough. We chose it as a stop off point on a road trip for its location to the freeway and it had a pool. It was indeed accessible, however pool closes for the winter as it is not heated... Not listed anywhere when we were booking. Kind of a sketchy place for kids. Just keep that in mind. I have stayed at worse places, to be sure. Just know what you are getting into.
