Hotel Downstreet

Clean small business hotel! Stayed here 2 days with my family. Quiet during nighttime. Hotel has a heated pool and hot tub which was super nice for my kid. Gym is available. Lobby has free coffee and water!

The room itself was quite large, and the bed was comfortable, which is a plus, but the bathroom was tiny and the toilet kept on running the first few hours we were there and then proceeded to overflow flooding the bathroom and part of the entrance area to the room. Someone did come from maintenance fairly quickly, but still… Also, the soundproofing was not very good and the floors were freezing cold. The pool was pretty nice, but the elevator was like an ice box which is weird. Overall, it was a pretty mixed experience.

Let the booker beware. I booked an accessible room through Expedia. The room I got was not accessible. I spoke to the front desk, and they said that was Expedia‘s fault. They said the room was hearing accessible. They said they did not have a handicapped accessible room available. Makes no sense. Clearly someone who selected an accessible most likely assumed the room would be handicapped accessible.

This may not be the fault of the hotel but it still does not take away from the fact that we paid money to be able to have a peaceful time away and weren't able to get that. North Adams had a youth hockey tournament in the area this weekend and as such many of the local restaurants and hotels had dozens of kids in town during a normally slower time. We had to call the front desk at least half a dozen times due to the fact that each night we stayed we had multiple kids playing "ding dong dash" and knocking or banging on our door and running away, screaming and running up and down the hallways. The hotel isn't responsible for watching these kids but when we asked about being moved they told us the only floor without kids would be the third floor or pet floor, we considered it but didn't thi

What a surprisingly lovely hotel in downtown N Adams. Love the artwork featured. The staff and service were excellent. My only complaint was we were given a “handicap accessible “ room with an adjoining room, occupied by people we did not know. We could hear every word they said, soundproofing was none existent. Hopefully next time we are given another room.
